André Philip Pettemerides graduated from The University of Sheffield in 1976. He has since gained enormous experience in the fields of restorative, aesthetic and implant dentistry. In particular he is recognised for his work on immediate loading of implants, aesthetic cases, the use of computer guided placement, Nobel Guide and the All on 4 Concept.
He has achieved the Certificate, the Advanced Certificate and the Diploma in Implant dentistry with distinction from The Eastman Dental Institute at the University of London. He has continued his postgraduate education in France, Malta, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland and the USA.
Philip is an Executive Committee member of The British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, an affiliate member of The European Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists and in addition to his clinical work Philip has taken a keen academic interest and has had several articles published in scientific journals including the British and European Journals of Orthodontics.
Philip currently runs implant courses at Edgar Buildings Dental Care and is a senior lecturer at the Portman Academy. He has lectured on dental implants at home and in Sweden and has lectured for Nobel Biocare including the World Conference 2007 in Las Vegas and as the lead presenter for The Nobel Biocare Procera Roadshow.
Philip has an holistic approach to dentistry, always with the patient's best interest at heart. He attends regular postgraduate conferences to keep abreast of the latest innovations in all aspects of dentistry and when possible to introduce them to Edgar Buildings Dental Care.

Raphael graduated from the Goldman School of Dental Medicine Boston USA in 1998 and received a Certificate in Endodontics and Advanced Graduate Studies following the completion of a Thesis on the subject of Digital Radiography. Raphael is also an American Board Certified Endodontist.
As part of the team at Edgar Buildings Dental Care he provides non-surgical and surgical endodontic therapy, utilizing the surgical operating microscope in combination with digital radiography and other advanced endodontic protocols including ultrasonics.
Raphael is past President of the Irish Academy of American Graduate Dental Specialists and is a widely published author of articles in Irish, English, European and International endodontic publications. He has presented at major endodontic conferences in Ireland and internationally and is a visiting lecturer and mentor to the graduate students of Boston University, Massachusetts, USA and Boston University Dubai, UAE. He is also a lecturer by invitation to the University of Alberta Dental School, Canada.

Sally Davies qualified from Guys Hospital (University of London) in 1990.
Since qualification and prior to joining Edgar Buildings, Sally joined the Royal Army Dental Corps, where she served as a Captain for a three year short service commission, she then returned to general practice in Surrey for several years, before moving to Bath and joining Edgar Buildings Dental Care in 2000.
Sally has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and new advancements. She attends courses frequently to keep up to date with the latest techniques in this rapidly expanding field. She enjoys the challenge of building trust with phobic patients.
Sally’s other interest is children’s dentistry, where the focus is in prevention, advice and careful treatment, using up to date techniques. She also enjoys providing crown/bridgework, dentures , root canal treatment and places the restorative stage for implants.

Jay qualified from Birmingham University in 2005 and worked as a general dentist before embarking on further training.
In 2005 Jay gained her Membership in the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She then went on to start her Orthodontic Specialist training in 2006 and was awarded her Masters in Philosophy and Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and gaining Specialist recognition in 2011.
Since then, Jay has spent time teaching Orthodontics at Bristol Dental Hospital and has worked in both dental practice & hospital environments.
Jay has continued to further her knowledge by attending courses in advanced Orthodontic procedures to provide treatments that are both patient care focused and at the forefront of modern orthodontics.
In particular, Jay’s interests lie in invisible Orthodontics including lingual systems (Incognito) and aligners (Invisalign) and also working with a combination of restorative and aesthetic adult orthodontic cases.

James attended the University of Liverpool and achieved his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1998. In the twenty years since qualifying he has gained extensive experience in restorative and aesthetic dentistry working throughout this time in the general practice setting. James has a particular interest in root canal treatment and is currently undertaking a Masters in Endodontics at the University of Chester. He also has a keen interest in the restoration of implants and has been restoring those placed by Dr Philip Pettemerides for the past eight years.
Having also embarked on a course of study in implants in the last six months he also plans to add the placement of implants as a service to his patients in the coming years. With a strong appreciation of the evidence base, he uses contemporary materials and techniques to produce lifelike and functional restorations for his patients.
James is very much an outdoors person and in his spare time enjoys nothing more than being in the great outdoors with his partner and two children.

Kathryn Wingfield is our dedicated dental hygienist. Gentle, caring and welcomes nervous patients. She works together with our dentists, to treat gum health and oral hygiene. They provide periodontal treatment such as root debridement to retain teeth which may have a doubtful prognosis.
Many patients have routine hygienist appointments to maintain their brightsmile giving them ‘a smile of confidence’.

Darby has been nursing for 4 years now and is our newest team member. Darby loves working at Edgar Buildings and is keen to learn new things and assist with surgical implants alongside Philip.
Carol has been at Edgar Buildings for 20 years and an irreplaceable member of the team. She is brilliant with patients new and existing to give them a very friendly welcome.
Jo has been at the practice for 9 years, she is a valued member to the team at Edgar Buildings and has a wonderful approach to all patients.
Lydia is our newest receptionist who used to dental nurse but she has now taken a step back from nursing to focus on a more admin based patient focused position in dentistry.
Lesley has been at Edgar Buildings for nearly 40 years, she keeps the practice running smoothly and is the lexicon to everything at Edgar.
Kelly has been at the practice since 2016. She started her role as Head Receptionist and went on to be Assistant Practice Manager in 2017 and has now happily taken on the position of Practice Manager since April 2018. She enjoys helping to keep Edgar Buildings running smoothly alongside Lesley and the rest of the team.
