Dental implants are made of surgical titanium and when placed in the jaws help to preserve and strengthen bone which begins to shrink once teeth are removed. This shrinkage increases when dentures are worn.
So, by connecting attachments to implants we are able to replace a single tooth with a crown, a larger space with numerous crowns or a bridge, or even an entire dentition with a fixed alternative to dentures.
